Our Experience in Workplace Safety

Dan McMillan is a Safety Consultant with over 20 years of combined experience in health and safety, including 13 years in dedicated safety roles and 10 years in the forestry sector providing advanced first aid and supporting field-level safety initiatives. He is proudly Indigenous and a member of the Métis Nation of Greater Victoria and the Métis Nation of BC.

Throughout his career, Dan has worked with organizations of all sizes across Western Canada, bringing safety expertise to industries including construction, retail environments, manufacturing, aquaculture, oil and gas, municipal operations, and forestry. His work has included conducting comprehensive risk assessments, developing and implementing health and safety management systems, and designing and delivering tailored safety training programs.

Dan has consistently achieved, and often exceeded, targets and goals because he knows how to sell safety in a way that resonates with both management and workers. By building strong relationships, understanding business priorities, and aligning safety initiatives with operational needs, he makes it easier for teams to buy in and commit to lasting change. This approach has led to measurable results, including record-setting safety performance and significant reductions in workplace injuries.
